Frequently Asked Questions About Editing the Advertisements

We provide an online administration area for our advertisers so you can edit and update your ad anytime you wish - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Please refer to the following questions and answers regarding editing your advertisement.

Where do I go to edit my information?

Login to your Advertiser Account by clicking on the Login link at the top of any page.  Once you are in your account, click on the Edit Listing / Photos link in the My Account navigation to the left.

How do I change my photos?

Please refer to our Advertiser Photos help page for information on this topic.

What is the difference between all of the Web site field in the Edit General Information form?

Web Site Link – The Web Site LINK field is where you put the link to your Web site that you want to use. Anything entered in this field does NOT SHOW on the Web site but it creates the actual link to your Web site. If you have your own tracking script that you want to use or have a long web link that is not the same as your base URL then this is where you would enter it.

  • DO NOT include the http:// in the Web Site Link field.
  • If you leave this field blank your link will not work.

Web Site Address – The Web Site Address field is what will actually SHOW on your profile page underneath your company name. Using your own URL as shown in the example above is preferable here so when brides print out your profile page they will see your Web site address written out.  However, if you have a very long Web site address, you may choose to use words here rather than the actual URL of your Web site.  An example of words might be: Click here to visit our Web site.

  • If you want a link to show with your ad, you must complete this field.
  • If you don't have a Web site, leave this field blank and click on the No option next to it at right in the "Show on Listing" column of the form.

Web Site Tracking – We provide reports that will allow you to see how many people click from our site to your site. This option sets this up for you.

  • Select YES if you want us to track how many people click from our Web site to yours. This requires a tracking script and will not count as a direct link to your site for search engine optimization purposes.
  • Select NO if you are purchasing links for the purpose of search engine optimization or if you have your own forwarding tracking script. If you select NO we will not be able to track clicks from our Web site to yours. You should track this through your own stats package.

I work from home, do I have to show my home address in the ad?

No you do not have to show your home address with your ad.  However, we do ask that you keep your Company Information up-to-date so that we can contact you.  Although we need the information to be correct, you do not have to show the information with your ad.

If you do not want a particular item to show with your listing or profile, just click on “No” in the “Include in Listing” column to the right on the Edit General Information page in your Advertiser Administration Edit Listing area.

Should I include my prices with the ad?

We highly recommend you at least put a range of prices with your ad in the Price Range field.  This saves everyone time by letting the brides (and wedding planners) know if you are in their range and saves you a lot of unnecessary phone calls and emails from brides who are not really prospects for you.

If at least 5 of your competitors are displaying prices then you should too.  Not displaying prices in this scenario could cause you to lose business.

If your pricing packages are too lengthy for our field but you have them on your Web site, type in "See our Web site for complete package details and prices".

If you customize all of your prices then you could simply write, "Packages customized to fit your budget."

If you are a bridal store of some type with a full range of prices you could just include a range.  If you are a high end store you might want to include something like: "Designer Gowns Priced at $2,500 and up."

What does Coverage Area mean / what goes in the Coverage area field?

Coverage Area simply denotes the areas that you cover.  You could type in "Serving the entire Southeast" or "Will travel throughout the U.S."  or "Serving Chicagoland" or "Services in Central and South Florida".

If you leave this field blank it will not show at all in your listing.

What is the Featured Ad Text field in the Edit Listing form used for?

The Featured Ad Text is the short text that will show up next to your directory listing and on your featured ads that are rotated randomly throughout the Web site.  This also shows in your directory listing if you have something entered in the field.

If you leave the field blank, no featured ad text will show in these places.
